<br />
<br />
Here is a few more pairs of earrings I have made using this light matte metal. I used chair, eye pins and various beads. I still have about 10 pairs of this matte metal ear-wires, so I want to make a few more pairs of earrings.<br />
<br />
beloe left, 2 different types of chain, i snipped off the head pin part and made the base then strung on beads in a pretty pattern. On the right I used 3 different types of chain, beads and an eye pin, stringing the beads on and making an eye at the other end<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JP2IbLxhcEY/Tl5OEoSczvI/AAAAAAAAAas/1V6nTDJqAjw/s1600/dee-jewelz+-blog+----matte+metal+earrings+and+bracel+ets+%25282%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="360" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JP2IbLxhcEY/Tl5OEoSczvI/AAAAAAAAAas/1V6nTDJqAjw/s640/dee-jewelz+-blog+----matte+metal+earrings+and+bracel+ets+%25282%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
below left, I used 2 different types of chain, and attached seed beads on jump rings to the main chain, then cut another type of chain different lengths. Used 2 different types of oval jump rings to attach to the ear-wire.<br />
<br />
Belos right, I used an eye pin, to string on.......errr....ummmmm...... instructions will be complicated to type out- but this was not complicated to make, just time consuming. I used seed beads and plastic gem beads for this one, as well as various styles of matte metal chain.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lOTklE9UwKk/Tl5ORPKu9wI/AAAAAAAAAa0/IsSoYUu-YMM/s1600/dee-jewelz+-blog+----matte+metal+earrings+and+bracel+ets+%25284%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="584" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lOTklE9UwKk/Tl5ORPKu9wI/AAAAAAAAAa0/IsSoYUu-YMM/s640/dee-jewelz+-blog+----matte+metal+earrings+and+bracel+ets+%25284%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />

A few pairs of earrings I made the week of August 8th to the 22-ish. I found some fabulous earring bases for $1.50 for 8 - 10 pairs at walmart and Micheals stores..... they were actually cheaper at Micheals craft stores. so far I have made these 3 pairs....... the rest of the earrings on this post are made with wire and seed beads or other beads...... very eary but time consuming. I think the above pairs took 1 hour for each pair.<br />
<br />

<br />
The two pairs of earrings above are made with two different sizes of seed beads, and chain. I used a 22 gauge wire for the seed beads and no jump rings to attach them together, I made sure that each loop at the end of the wires was in opposite directions so it would sit the way it does.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
These two pairs of earrings are of the same pattern. However, using different sized seed beads as well as the amount on each wire can be configured in many different ways. The possibilties are endless and I have several ideas in mind for some future projects. <br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">my project for the next week</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nWDPyNR48jg/Tl5PvVyIN2I/AAAAAAAAAbM/VQO0hwFzDFg/s1600/what+i+am+working+on+---deez-jewelz----+%25284%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="476" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nWDPyNR48jg/Tl5PvVyIN2I/AAAAAAAAAbM/VQO0hwFzDFg/s640/what+i+am+working+on+---deez-jewelz----+%25284%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />

hey ----- wait a minute, this was supposed to be auto-posted 26 days ago.... it was set up and it did not post?grrrrrrr, this has happened a few times and at first I thought it was just me.<br />
<br />
<br />
I have been successful with using nail polish on beads.... it's really sticking on there! Hopefully I'll find the correct photos of the process of this before I publish this post. If you wash and dry most plastic beads, then using a good nail polish - Sally Hansen or wet n wild - the polish should last on the beads.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aK0haD1fVx4/Tjnmjh-YPZI/AAAAAAAAAZw/itmZqCLauUY/s1600/deez+jewelz+---bracelets+and+toggle+clasps+%25288%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="600" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aK0haD1fVx4/Tjnmjh-YPZI/AAAAAAAAAZw/itmZqCLauUY/s640/deez+jewelz+---bracelets+and+toggle+clasps+%25288%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">left plain black plastic bead - right after sponging on silver chrome nail polish</div><br />
<br />
On the left, I used small black plastic beads along with silver embellished plastic beads. I painted the black beads silver, using the brush from the nail polish after I wired them. The polish dried very fast.<br />
<br />
On the right, I used a craft sponge brush from Micheal's to apply the silver polish, I wanted some of the original black bead to show through. I also added 4 large clear faceted beads to this bracelet.<br />

<br />
<br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">I haven't seen fancy plastic beads like this available in stores for a few years...... I would love to find more drum shaped and other squat round shaped plastic beads in the future. It seems like Micheal's is really into glass beads at the moment. I like plastic stuff! They are just as pretty to me.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

I found these bead sets at my favirote dollar store in town, Loonie Twoons dollar store. they were $1.29 each, which is a good price for a sampling of beads. I have already whipped up a few pairs of earrings that I will photograpgh and blog tomorrow.<br />
<br />
I have already transferred these beads into tiny zip lock bags. <br />
<br />

here are a few pairs of earrings and a bracelet I have made recently, as well as some walmart bargains. I used copper earring bases from Micheal's, with seed beads and other plastic beads. and two pairs of copper chains and seed beads. These were all super easy to make; however I find coming up with a design I like to be the hardest part.<br />
<br />
Whenever I try to copy a piece of jewelery I have seen in a store or online I don't have any problem - but when I have to whip something up with beads and findings I have on hand I often take a long time to find a satisfactory finished product.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-sDIADMrfk8U/TjmlhXtJYsI/AAAAAAAAAZI/D_QEcRRII-k/s1600/july25th+to+aug1+-deez-jewelz+%25283%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-sDIADMrfk8U/TjmlhXtJYsI/AAAAAAAAAZI/D_QEcRRII-k/s640/july25th+to+aug1+-deez-jewelz+%25283%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />

even at full price, this is a good deal; except Walmart has changed their packaging and jacked up all their prices - i hate it when companies do that - but it is cool to find the discounted bargains........ <br />

The teal froggy beads ( on the left ) are taken from a necklace i bought 6 years ago and removed- but hung onto......<br />
<br />
The bracelet on the right has a few <i><b>real crystals</b></i>, I also used the large jump rings with seed beads to 'beef' these up, i still think they are a little sparse but i have to try to not overdo stuff.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pAKRq3NiDbk/Tji1K5WdlEI/AAAAAAAAAYM/de_fY8M3R5A/s1600/stuff+i+have+made+recently+-deez+jewelz+%252810%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pAKRq3NiDbk/Tji1K5WdlEI/AAAAAAAAAYM/de_fY8M3R5A/s640/stuff+i+have+made+recently+-deez+jewelz+%252810%2529.JPG" width="528" /></a></div><br />

<br />
<br />
a few more button bracelets that I have made.... I am still into these and try to wear a button bracelet at least once a week..... they are just buttons.... so simple....<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">These are on large black jump rings on black chain</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-C1s3F0D0etc/Tji1DBe2sQI/AAAAAAAAAYI/DsBuUlDJl2w/s1600/stuff+i+have+made+recently+-deez+jewelz+%25289%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-C1s3F0D0etc/Tji1DBe2sQI/AAAAAAAAAYI/DsBuUlDJl2w/s640/stuff+i+have+made+recently+-deez+jewelz+%25289%2529.JPG" width="592" /></a></div><br />

<br />
And a few other bracelets. Starting from the left, clear round faceted plastic beads that I made a cage with thin black wire - I would still like to add something to this one - no sure what.<br />
<br />
The teal acid wash looking beads were found at a thrift store in my town for like, 25 cents. I used black wire & small black jump rings to string them together<br />
<br />
Third is a simple style. Large black wire jump rings with 3 to 5 copper beads.... so simple<br />
<br />
And finally, black and copper seed beads on jump rings, some pretty copper design drum-shaped beads on a black chain.<br />

boooooo- one of the dollar stores in my town went out of business, so everything was 1/2 price. I grabbed these few things below. I appreciate the beauty of glass beads but I am a fan of uniformity, so I very rarely use these in jewelery making or even purchase jewelery with glass beads = unless it is just 1 special glass bead.<br />
<br />
anyhoo- here are few bargains I had picked up last month. On top is stuff from the dollar store.....and below is a small bag of plastic pearl beads as well as a large chain that I will utilize for other re-fashion projects.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MpE_D1qIndg/TjizjMCTW6I/AAAAAAAAAXY/9D8zqkly8Pg/s1600/deez-jewelz+-+glass+beads+and+thrift+store+%25281%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MpE_D1qIndg/TjizjMCTW6I/AAAAAAAAAXY/9D8zqkly8Pg/s640/deez-jewelz+-+glass+beads+and+thrift+store+%25281%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div> I have successfully painted these types of plastic pearls with nail polish - notably the discontinued sally Hansen chrome polish, and using a normal kitchen sponge to add some colour as well = they end up looking somewhat antique - but i like that. eventually i would like to use the nail polish water marbling technique on these in the future ( which is messy but soooooo pretty )....<br />
<br />
on the right is a bracelet that I made with odd shaped glass beads from a beginners set of beads from Micheal's craft stores ( the pail of beads ) on the left is a bracelet I made with the smaller blue glass beads. I fished out the lighter coloured BI-CONE beads from the dollar store package and made the earrings, which i used jump rings to attach to a chain.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9piT6RyrF1k/Tji0Yd_MU2I/AAAAAAAAAX0/wApxRth8he4/s1600/stuff+i+have+made+recently+-deez+jewelz+%25284%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="552" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9piT6RyrF1k/Tji0Yd_MU2I/AAAAAAAAAX0/wApxRth8he4/s640/stuff+i+have+made+recently+-deez+jewelz+%25284%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
I know i don't <b><i>have to</i></b> jam pack these charm/bead bracelets with stuff, but they seem sparse on my wrists...... so I might make some small colour coordinated jump rings to add to the below bracelets<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SfC0ixry3YM/Tjiz733IB8I/AAAAAAAAAXo/z6iXaSXXTtk/s1600/stuff+i+have+made+recently+-deez+jewelz+%25281%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="526" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SfC0ixry3YM/Tjiz733IB8I/AAAAAAAAAXo/z6iXaSXXTtk/s640/stuff+i+have+made+recently+-deez+jewelz+%25281%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
For the above and below bracelets I used some large blue plastic beads that I found at the thrift store (a year ago!!!!!) real crystal, smaller faceted pale blue plastic beads and long cylindrical plastic beads from the .99 cent store.... those I also purchased quite a while ago. I used jump rings to attach them to a piece of chain and toggle clasps ( or course ) for the closures.<br />
<br />
i thought that adding real crystals would really showcase the fake plastic blue beads = but = it actually isn't that bad. I especially love the silver wire cage i made for the beads on the left.... <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XY77N8xG6C0/Tji0gUKMlcI/AAAAAAAAAX4/HFgVI7h-4IM/s1600/stuff+i+have+made+recently+-deez+jewelz+%25285%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="630" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XY77N8xG6C0/Tji0gUKMlcI/AAAAAAAAAX4/HFgVI7h-4IM/s640/stuff+i+have+made+recently+-deez+jewelz+%25285%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<br />
..... that's it for now, hopefully i will get the rest of my photos on here b weeks end to make up for the MONTH AND A HALF that i did not post stuff.deez-jewelzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08041140943947923708noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3090677850785023552.post-87439179651931030602011-08-05T09:47:00.000-07:002011-08-05T09:47:00.434-07:00<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wDOZOJkfU6I/TjiztALmk8I/AAAAAAAAAXg/pDE0DWVwm1U/s1600/nail+polish+bracelet+---deez-jewelz---+%25281%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wDOZOJkfU6I/TjiztALmk8I/AAAAAAAAAXg/pDE0DWVwm1U/s640/nail+polish+bracelet+---deez-jewelz---+%25281%2529.JPG" width="595" /></a></div> above; a pretty pink beaded bracelet. there are glass oval beads, plastic pink beads, some of which i darkened with nail polish, clear faceted plastic beads and a pretty pink fake crystal bead....... I am really into these simple beaded bracelets with toggle clasps. I haven't broken any nails putting these on yet.<br />
<br />
I don't have may bracelets that are this vibrant of pink, so making this was a big deal. I thought I would hate having the wire loop sticking out verses the head pins, but it is kinda handmade looking, so I don't mind it so much<br />
<br />
I used a piece of kitchen sponge, and a few drops of polish on a piece of tin foil to add a darker colour and texture to these plastic beads..... <br />

<div style="text-align: center;"> the pink glass/plastic/nail polished beaded bracelet & 2 other red bracelets I finally made</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mU70b3n4kvY/Tji07uUdeWI/AAAAAAAAAYE/Z9HxMZ2cghE/s1600/stuff+i+have+made+recently+-deez+jewelz+%25288%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="633" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mU70b3n4kvY/Tji07uUdeWI/AAAAAAAAAYE/Z9HxMZ2cghE/s640/stuff+i+have+made+recently+-deez+jewelz+%25288%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div> I <i><b>finally used </b></i>these red beads i purchased last summer for .50 cents at Micheal's that I found in the bargain bin. I didn't make something that I would buy in a store because red is not my colour and i was not inspired to create something so I just whipped these 2 bracelets up. They <i><u>did</u></i> turn out pretty and now I finally have some red bracelets.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: left;">here is the package they came in below- even though I used quite a bit of seed beads for the bracelet of the right i have barely made a dent in the little package of seed beads that these larger embellished beads came with.....</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qng9BFiQ_RQ/TjmHuaTcu2I/AAAAAAAAAYo/HwPNVXRzhQs/s1600/micheals+jewelery+and+paint+july+18th+2010++%25286%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="408" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qng9BFiQ_RQ/TjmHuaTcu2I/AAAAAAAAAYo/HwPNVXRzhQs/s640/micheals+jewelery+and+paint+july+18th+2010++%25286%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<br />
i love the look of seed beads on jump rings - just larger simple wire rings that i made by wrapping wire around a wooden spoon, snipped into rings & added seed beads.... and then linked together..... Here are two cuff bracelets; the one on the left is from a re-worked necklace that was too long, and the the one on the right is rings with seed beads, I added smaller jump rings randomly throughout the bracelet to link the chains together. When I add the clasps I will post a better model photo. This is very simple and very easy, although it felt like it took me forever to make.<br />

</div><div style="text-align: left;">Thats it for now. I miss my old way of photographing jewelery it was much easier and i need to figure something out......</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

so much for up-dating every few weeks -lol! I have been busy with all sorts of crafts and making jewelery etc. in my spare time. I have quite a few things to share but will be breaking it down into individual posts.<br />
<br />
here are a few things I have made in the last little while. I found these pretty plastic beads at Micheal's for $2.99, there was 2 packages and they were sitting there forever. I wanted to buy them both, but just grabbed the 1 package = big mistake ext time i am buying EVERYTHING!!!!! I always regret it when i don't snap u these bargains.<br />
<br />
I loved working with these coloured plastic beads..... they are very pretty and easy to work with.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1GTL4CPkuVk/Tjix6b9FOUI/AAAAAAAAAWo/FmFp9_Q9Tzs/s1600/canada+010.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="316" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1GTL4CPkuVk/Tjix6b9FOUI/AAAAAAAAAWo/FmFp9_Q9Tzs/s640/canada+010.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KrUl6kUgXiI/TjixyoovYqI/AAAAAAAAAWk/P3UKnEvO_xs/s1600/canada+006.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KrUl6kUgXiI/TjixyoovYqI/AAAAAAAAAWk/P3UKnEvO_xs/s400/canada+006.JPG" width="198" /></a> <br />
Not sure what fashion caps refers to, but i love these watery colours.... the pearls do not seem to go well with their matched colours, though.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
i totally regret not buying more of these. it seems that these types of clear plastic beads are hard to find.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
for $2.99 ( reg. $5.49 ) this was an awesome deal and i have already used these in quite a few pieces of jewelery.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I used silver ovals from a 'too long for me' de-constructed necklace and the clear beads and pearls from the package. I painted the purple beads with Sally Hansen Chrome polish on moonstone chrome.... that polish sticks to beads like no-ones business. I don't really like the loops showing but I ran out of silver head pins..... I might get all anal retentive and change out the silver with I used for proper head pins.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2f_CLEzda7g/TjiybgCojwI/AAAAAAAAAW4/4bb35Cl3WgM/s1600/deez+jewelz+micheals+gems+----+%25284%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="282" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2f_CLEzda7g/TjiybgCojwI/AAAAAAAAAW4/4bb35Cl3WgM/s640/deez+jewelz+micheals+gems+----+%25284%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">I like this aqua colour with silver - it is very summer-ey to me</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-L4sWEuNZvok/Tjiyg8QV04I/AAAAAAAAAW8/mWrNrTcsoXQ/s1600/deez+jewelz+micheals+gems+----+%25285%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-L4sWEuNZvok/Tjiyg8QV04I/AAAAAAAAAW8/mWrNrTcsoXQ/s400/deez+jewelz+micheals+gems+----+%25285%2529.JPG" width="396" /></a></div><br />
these definitely need to be re-worked, with proper head pins for the dangle gem in the middle. I also painted the large clear bead at the bottom middle with nail polish......<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_VnqmigoTPU/Tjiym4nUcrI/AAAAAAAAAXA/XrioG6Z5940/s1600/deez+jewelz+micheals+gems+----+%25286%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="370" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_VnqmigoTPU/Tjiym4nUcrI/AAAAAAAAAXA/XrioG6Z5940/s400/deez+jewelz+micheals+gems+----+%25286%2529.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">and some dull/matte silver chain and head pins with the purple beads.....</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SRJKyHhzC2E/TjiyV_ofwRI/AAAAAAAAAW0/IYSvBCaeHc0/s1600/deez+jewelz+micheals+gems+----+%25283%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="472" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SRJKyHhzC2E/TjiyV_ofwRI/AAAAAAAAAW0/IYSvBCaeHc0/s640/deez+jewelz+micheals+gems+----+%25283%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div> not sure why this photo is so fuzzy.......<br />
<br />
<br />
I painted some plain white plastic pearls with sally Hansen chrome nail polish..... that polish is really sticking to the plastic beads - which I washed and dried first. I affixed these beads to wire and then added them to a 1 3/4" chain and ear wires. To the clear faceted plastic beads I added a seed bead to keep them on the wire.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6y5IZqh7Nso/TjizSZSqnEI/AAAAAAAAAXQ/d1wW9-klSM0/s1600/deez+jewelz+micheals+gems+----+%252810%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6y5IZqh7Nso/TjizSZSqnEI/AAAAAAAAAXQ/d1wW9-klSM0/s640/deez+jewelz+micheals+gems+----+%252810%2529.JPG" width="612" /></a></div><br />
and a few bracelets I made. I haven't added the toggle clasp to these yet. I used beads I had in my stash, and the purple beads from the package of $2.99 beads from Micheal's.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LQ2BP7cin_o/TjizBqOJxfI/AAAAAAAAAXI/u76nly8T1G0/s1600/deez+jewelz+micheals+gems+----+%25288%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LQ2BP7cin_o/TjizBqOJxfI/AAAAAAAAAXI/u76nly8T1G0/s640/deez+jewelz+micheals+gems+----+%25288%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">.....and another angle</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Pr_NPW-HOTE/TjiyxMn3EbI/AAAAAAAAAXE/V5gkFd4od3w/s1600/deez+jewelz+micheals+gems+----+%25287%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Pr_NPW-HOTE/TjiyxMn3EbI/AAAAAAAAAXE/V5gkFd4od3w/s640/deez+jewelz+micheals+gems+----+%25287%2529.JPG" width="638" /></a></div><br />
the big square beads that came in the package are odd.... I don't really know what to do with them. For the center bracelet I just made loop wires and attached them to make a bracelet. The other two bracelets are a mix of the Micheal's beads, some seed beads, silver beads from the .99 cent store and some black round beads from a necklace I didn't wear anymore and re-fashioned. The bracelet on the far left has some real crystal beads as well....<br />

<br />
and here is a project I hope to finish before summer is over. seed beads with that Black Nylon stuff I found at my favirote dollar store in town. My goal is to make every colour of the rainbow in seed beads..... these dont take long but as you can see in the last photo.... are a little hard to maneuver all the rings to get it aligned perfectly. I used masking tape to co-ordinate all the rings to lay flat.<br />
<br />
thankfully i found that bargain package of crimp beads a few months ago and i plan on painting them over with wet n wild black creme nail polish anyway..... so that they blend into the black nylon string =oh and these definitely need a smaller silver jump ring to attach the ear-wire to the actual earring.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-k7-yyA8hZEY/TjiyIDu-31I/AAAAAAAAAWw/yxes-B1R3b4/s1600/deez+jewelz+micheals+gems+----+%25282%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="616" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-k7-yyA8hZEY/TjiyIDu-31I/AAAAAAAAAWw/yxes-B1R3b4/s640/deez+jewelz+micheals+gems+----+%25282%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
lol on the left - i will probably have to re-make quite a few of these if i plan to create this design in all the colours of seed beads I have..... using masking tape to flatten and align these earrings helps alot.... when I start on this project i will add better ( non-fuzzy lol ) photos with tutorials. This is an awesome idea for someone who makes jewelery to sell as it would be cheap and easy.<br />

I picked up these two baggies of buttons at my favorite store in town; Looney Twoons dollar store, and have whipped up some fabulous button bracelets. I love these cute button bracelets! I used some chain from my stash, and made larger than usual jump rings from silver wire - also from the same dollar store.<br />
<br />
I used toggle clasps for these bracelets - I love those things! I don't know why they still sell jewelery with claw clasps - does anyone else DESTROY their fingernails with claw clasps or is it just me?<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">These are very easy to make, and can be made with any colour of button imaginable.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hTJwPUXe-UM/Tf0MV3QlmfI/AAAAAAAAAWE/uVJ1h854c4M/s1600/ccc+056.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="550" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hTJwPUXe-UM/Tf0MV3QlmfI/AAAAAAAAAWE/uVJ1h854c4M/s640/ccc+056.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />

above and below; here are some goodies I picked up at Micheal's last month. I am still waiting for their display of discount/clearance jewelry to be 50 cents each. However I have acquired a tonne of jewelery fix'ns in the last year at low, low prices.<br />
<br />
this post is a few things I have picked up over the last month.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mw0obfa-bkU/Tf0M4mg1pHI/AAAAAAAAAWA/4J-pPXt55V0/s1600/ccc+071.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="521" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mw0obfa-bkU/Tf0M4mg1pHI/AAAAAAAAAWA/4J-pPXt55V0/s640/ccc+071.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
I picked these up at Portage La Prairie, Manitoba walmart on Clearance for $1.00 each. Walmart in Canada has re-vamped it jewelery making section, and have raised their prices. It is still cheaper to hit up Micheal's with your 40% off coupon and get the same types of beads at Micheal's instead of Walmart.<br />
<br />
They still sell these exact same beads - but have changed the packaging - sorry I missed out on this clearance in my town - but really, I could go without buying seed beads for at least a decade and be just fine.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OsW-mvWcevc/Tf0M-25ud6I/AAAAAAAAAWA/pfU8RKpa2rQ/s1600/ccc+072.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="522" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OsW-mvWcevc/Tf0M-25ud6I/AAAAAAAAAWA/pfU8RKpa2rQ/s640/ccc+072.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
I got this jewelery set at Micheal's on clearance for 13 bucks! one of the cases of seed beads was missing (it was the pinks and yellows). I really didn't need to buy this, but I did want those copper, zinc and steel coloured metallic seed beads and the dark smokey black seed beads.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Lxf582KP49Q/Tf0NI4U-xkI/AAAAAAAAAWA/IEBjX0PaBy0/s1600/deez+jewelz+%25281%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="499" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Lxf582KP49Q/Tf0NI4U-xkI/AAAAAAAAAWA/IEBjX0PaBy0/s640/deez+jewelz+%25281%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
This is a terrible way to store seed beads because these plastic cases are poorly made, and so they pop open and all the beads will fall out. Thats why it was on clearance because the pink/yellow case exploded in the store. It took me almost 40 minutes to tape up sections, pour them into the zip lock bags <i><u> and </u></i> to keep them separated while I transferred them into the zip-lock bags pictured below.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QHvYlVgfzwc/Tf0NTF9Zi2I/AAAAAAAAAWA/pLwnlHIjGPk/s1600/deez+jewelz+%25282%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="491" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QHvYlVgfzwc/Tf0NTF9Zi2I/AAAAAAAAAWA/pLwnlHIjGPk/s640/deez+jewelz+%25282%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
There is very few pairs in this collection of glass beads that came along in this jewelery making kit but I am sure that I can whip up some pretty bracelets and necklaces with these. I already had a good pair of rounded jewelery pliers. The crimp beads and silver wire will come in handy.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-kxQ6ZO-UgRg/Tf0N5IyQZ7I/AAAAAAAAAWA/e9QRYyghiiE/s1600/deez+jewelz+%25285%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="582" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-kxQ6ZO-UgRg/Tf0N5IyQZ7I/AAAAAAAAAWA/e9QRYyghiiE/s640/deez+jewelz+%25285%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />

<div style="text-align: left;">I have almost used up all the beads from this little package! There is still alot of pastel seed beads, though. Here is a few charm and button bracelets I have made over the last month or so. I used silver toggle clasps and chain from a necklace. The buttons came from the thrift store or from the fabric-land, and many of the charms came form re-fashions from Necklaces that I picked up at a 5 for $10 deal at a mall jewelery store.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VaZlYIQueBY/TcFzYKQ220I/AAAAAAAAAR8/5gDHMjQeISo/s1600/re-fashion+charm+bracelets+---deez-jewelz+%25281%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VaZlYIQueBY/TcFzYKQ220I/AAAAAAAAAR8/5gDHMjQeISo/s640/re-fashion+charm+bracelets+---deez-jewelz+%25281%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">so here is what I started out with. My goal was to make 4 bracelets in 2 weeks.....</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-H0OGuUESkFI/TcFzKBimmPI/AAAAAAAAAR4/_gkq7HSrGO4/s1600/re+fashion+charm+bracelets+need+toggles++---deez-jewelz----.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-H0OGuUESkFI/TcFzKBimmPI/AAAAAAAAAR4/_gkq7HSrGO4/s640/re+fashion+charm+bracelets+need+toggles++---deez-jewelz----.JPG" width="622" /></a></div><br />
These gold buttons were purchased from a thrift store, I think I got them all for 75 cents. I used a short piece of gold chain from a necklace<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-grFBP1I_fRY/TcFzzOIScBI/AAAAAAAAASI/NVh9tIiJnz4/s1600/re-fashion+charm+bracelets+---deez-jewelz+%25284%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="281" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-grFBP1I_fRY/TcFzzOIScBI/AAAAAAAAASI/NVh9tIiJnz4/s400/re-fashion+charm+bracelets+---deez-jewelz+%25284%2529.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
these crosses were from a necklace I picked up at a 5 for $10 sale. The chain came from the same necklace.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rxvWmVnG5-Y/TcF0XorrE7I/AAAAAAAAASY/wc-mikRv6hs/s1600/re-fashion+charm+bracelets+---deez-jewelz+%25288%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="297" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rxvWmVnG5-Y/TcF0XorrE7I/AAAAAAAAASY/wc-mikRv6hs/s400/re-fashion+charm+bracelets+---deez-jewelz+%25288%2529.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
these charms were also part of a necklace that I picked up at a 5 for $10 sale at a mall jewelry store.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-owfjeer6Yk4/TcF0N76JDGI/AAAAAAAAASU/Aw8NwpqKJJs/s1600/re-fashion+charm+bracelets+---deez-jewelz+%25287%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="335" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-owfjeer6Yk4/TcF0N76JDGI/AAAAAAAAASU/Aw8NwpqKJJs/s400/re-fashion+charm+bracelets+---deez-jewelz+%25287%2529.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>These black and silver beads were part of a necklace that I had from 2 or 3 years ago that was ridiculously bulky...... I re-fashioned them into a bracelet.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wPup4_I5pIE/TcF0DkBxpWI/AAAAAAAAASQ/DZ6E7VZdTEs/s1600/re-fashion+charm+bracelets+---deez-jewelz+%25286%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="293" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wPup4_I5pIE/TcF0DkBxpWI/AAAAAAAAASQ/DZ6E7VZdTEs/s400/re-fashion+charm+bracelets+---deez-jewelz+%25286%2529.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />

I found these pretty buttons at a thrift store, and some came off of a jacket that I changed the buttons on. I painted the small silver ones with holographic nail polish because the center area looked weird and murky/tarnished silver<br />

<br />
Here are a few pairs of earrings I made with seed-beads from the DollarRama and some clear jewelery string. It is not shiny - it is matte which is what I was looking for. I found this at a thrift store and am not sure what it is exactly. Because fishing line is shiny, and I havent seen a matte silver-ish nylon string type product at micheals before..... maybe it is from the future.<br />
<br />
First the purple earrings in the top left hand are beads from the DollarRama as well. I used black Nylon string from the .99 cent store in my town, and some small silver beads that I had from way back.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">that black nylon string stuff which is seriously awesome and going to last forever.....</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-afC6oVQqq-c/TVhTrxvqENI/AAAAAAAAAQE/er9HH67Xn14/s1600/qqq+001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-afC6oVQqq-c/TVhTrxvqENI/AAAAAAAAAQE/er9HH67Xn14/s640/qqq+001.JPG" width="454" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
<br />
and beads from the Dollar Rama, there are 4 different colour sets available at my DollarRama, Purple, Pink, Blue and Clear..... Really I should own one of each by now but I am trying to pace myself with my acquirement of jewelery products. Plus I could not make anything for a few weeks ( boooooooo ) <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-g6jqa_Ds2yM/TU77nasWBRI/AAAAAAAAAQI/3EUjwHtEfgI/s1600/DEEZ-JEWELZ+---JAN-FEB+2011+%25287%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-g6jqa_Ds2yM/TU77nasWBRI/AAAAAAAAAQI/3EUjwHtEfgI/s640/DEEZ-JEWELZ+---JAN-FEB+2011+%25287%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<br />
here are the seed beads from the DollarRama, I have made a few pairs of earrings and barely put a dent in these tubes.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Cu6E8Ygf_A8/TcFxtLkMSqI/AAAAAAAAARA/RSdr5EfelNs/s1600/dollar+rama+beads+canada+---deez-jewelz+%25283%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="390" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Cu6E8Ygf_A8/TcFxtLkMSqI/AAAAAAAAARA/RSdr5EfelNs/s640/dollar+rama+beads+canada+---deez-jewelz+%25283%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
...............and another angle..... I have already made quite a few pairs of the tear-drop shaped earrings and wanted to try circles. those are two circles strung with beads and closed with a crimp bead, and held together with a jump ring, so they move independent of each other.... I still want to add a small crystal in a corresponding colour to each of these earrings.... so they<b><i> are not really </i></b>finished yet.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OV413SFWowc/TcFxjzGP_AI/AAAAAAAAAQ8/P2WGNJQfnAg/s1600/dollar+rama+beads+canada+---deez-jewelz+%25282%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OV413SFWowc/TcFxjzGP_AI/AAAAAAAAAQ8/P2WGNJQfnAg/s640/dollar+rama+beads+canada+---deez-jewelz+%25282%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
The large teal tear drop earrings and the very bottom circle earrings were made with beads from this necklace below.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">( from a haul last summer at Ardene stores - 5 for $10 )</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-yNsYJoBEjhQ/TSiZNwizKlI/AAAAAAAAAK8/Pv2cvAfNaqc/s1600/ardene+5+for+10+dec+16+2010+%25284%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="396" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-yNsYJoBEjhQ/TSiZNwizKlI/AAAAAAAAAK8/Pv2cvAfNaqc/s400/ardene+5+for+10+dec+16+2010+%25284%2529.JPG" width="400" /> </a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I thought it would be economical to buy bargain beads on a necklace that was discounted at a store, but you actually get waaaaaaaaay more of a quantity of beads in these types of vials, or baggies. For the teal chain above, I needed that EXACT silver chain for another project - i utilized the silver charms for a charm bracelet, and used the small glass beads for the above earrings. I was looking for teal beads in the lightest colour from that necklace forever and could not purchase any in stores.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

<br />
This is a post of some things I have acquired in the last few moths..... I haven't been making as much stuff as i wanted because I cut my finger and could not hold anything with that hand ( waaaah! ) I am slowly changing all my favirote jewelery to have toggle clasps. I constantly break nails with those ridiculous claw clasps. I would say 1/3 of the time, anything with a claw clasp that I have bought from Icing or Claire's jewelery stores, the claw clasp was either stuck or broken or very difficult to get open and I generally break my nails trying to open them.<br />
<br />
On another note all 3 pieces of Jewelery I have purchased at Le Chateau stores in my life-time have fallen apart or were defective. So I never buy stuff from there..... <br />
<br />
All The red tags were an additional 50 % off, so I found some good bargains here. I am waiting for these to be on sale for .50 cents each, usually Micheal's has a ridiculous clear out where there is a bin filled with stuff for 50 cents. I have purchased a few finding and tools that I otherwise would not have, and figured out how to make a tonne of neat stuff this way.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">Toggle-Clasps! Yeeeeeeeeah! love these things</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3TrIeXLhCyE/TcFx5HR2QII/AAAAAAAAARI/RmCvImeS6aI/s1600/micheals+craft+store++bargains+----deez-jewelz----+%25282%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="386" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3TrIeXLhCyE/TcFx5HR2QII/AAAAAAAAARI/RmCvImeS6aI/s400/micheals+craft+store++bargains+----deez-jewelz----+%25282%2529.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">Finally - I bought something with a 50% off coupon at Micheal's! </div><div style="text-align: center;">and there was actually 63 in here, not 60!!!! Bonus!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lysW-soN0uw/TcFx-rPatrI/AAAAAAAAARM/dwt2wqWlT4s/s1600/micheals+craft+store++bargains+----deez-jewelz----+%25283%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lysW-soN0uw/TcFx-rPatrI/AAAAAAAAARM/dwt2wqWlT4s/s400/micheals+craft+store++bargains+----deez-jewelz----+%25283%2529.JPG" width="348" /></a></div><br />
yippee- I bought some of these last summer ( NOT on sale ) I like this finish and have found some chain that matches this perfectly, as well as some beads to go with this 'look' <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XUqvAswHj0A/TcFyI9yTDTI/AAAAAAAAARQ/RG3jTCpH4uc/s1600/micheals+craft+store++bargains+----deez-jewelz----+%25284%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="286" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XUqvAswHj0A/TcFyI9yTDTI/AAAAAAAAARQ/RG3jTCpH4uc/s400/micheals+craft+store++bargains+----deez-jewelz----+%25284%2529.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">I dont really like the deconstructed copper and gold finish, but I thought I should try some out. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qaw4WO4hhL0/TcFyPBecvQI/AAAAAAAAARU/MGdErWDtfMY/s1600/micheals+craft+store++bargains+----deez-jewelz----+%25285%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qaw4WO4hhL0/TcFyPBecvQI/AAAAAAAAARU/MGdErWDtfMY/s400/micheals+craft+store++bargains+----deez-jewelz----+%25285%2529.JPG" width="351" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"> BARGAINS!!!!!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ArSGqP7b__U/TcFyYo_qDcI/AAAAAAAAARY/a7EJb2yL0WI/s1600/micheals+craft+store++bargains+----deez-jewelz----+%25286%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="518" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ArSGqP7b__U/TcFyYo_qDcI/AAAAAAAAARY/a7EJb2yL0WI/s640/micheals+craft+store++bargains+----deez-jewelz----+%25286%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
I am leery about black powder coated jewelery fixings.... when I start working with these i hope the finish doesn't come off, but if it does I have my handy-dandy Wet n Wild black nail polish to fix these up.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BEqBZS3USv8/TcFyeJKbENI/AAAAAAAAARc/UsK8DHRF6nA/s1600/micheals+craft+store++bargains+----deez-jewelz----+%25287%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BEqBZS3USv8/TcFyeJKbENI/AAAAAAAAARc/UsK8DHRF6nA/s400/micheals+craft+store++bargains+----deez-jewelz----+%25287%2529.JPG" width="250" /></a></div><br />
These 3 things were from another purchase and even though they are on clearance for a good price, they were also supposed to be and extra 50% off! So they need to be taken back for a re-fund. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PIiZDCBnMbI/TcFytbmKzaI/AAAAAAAAARk/UNhQ15s5diE/s1600/michelas+may+2+2010+---deez-jewelz---+%25282%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="370" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PIiZDCBnMbI/TcFytbmKzaI/AAAAAAAAARk/UNhQ15s5diE/s400/michelas+may+2+2010+---deez-jewelz---+%25282%2529.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
and some stickers... these are for some jewelery experiments and for my nail art. I need flat rhinestones for a few projects in the works. I don't know why these were on sale?<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wGY_NU5_oag/TcFy0frJhtI/AAAAAAAAARo/P4jgsESa8xI/s1600/michelas+may+2+2010+---deez-jewelz---+%25283%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="350" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wGY_NU5_oag/TcFy0frJhtI/AAAAAAAAARo/P4jgsESa8xI/s640/michelas+may+2+2010+---deez-jewelz---+%25283%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />

this is supposed to be for knitting, but I saw this on an end-cap at walmart on sale and grabbed it so that I am not always jabbing pins, pliers and other sharp objects where I accidentally cut myself a few months ago. I always end up hurting the pad of my finger on my left index finger....<br />

a few sequin earrings I have made last week. I cut my finger badly in late February, and could not do much detailed crafty things. I never realized how important that small area of MY LEFT HAND and index finger was. I regret that I take things like this for granted.<br />
<br />
I found some very beautiful opalescent and duo-chrome-ey sequins at an awesome dollar store in Grant Park mall in Winnipeg, Manitoba, as well as some new ear wires. There is photos below, some are also holographic= what an awesome find.<br />
<br />
For the sequin earrings above I made some black jump rings with wire and painted my filgree earring bases with Wet n Wild Black nail polish. ( I let that dry overnight ) I also made some black ear-wires. I have tried to make ear-wires several times and they never turn out - but these I can live with. I used 20 gauge black wire for and painted the exposed copper area with Wet n Wild Black nail polish. This nail polish is a perfect match for the black wire found at Micheal's craft store.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
These were part of a pair of earrings I bought at The DollarRama, I cut them apart using a pair of tin snipers, and FILED THE EDGES with an old metal nail file. Be careful - these were sharp after cutting. Also be sure to not breathe in any dust from filing them, who knows what these are made of.<br />

<div style="text-align: left;">The silver chain earrings below were made from the cross necklace; I de-constructed parts of it, made a charm bracelet wit the crosses, and used some of the chain to make these earrings. I lost almost 2 months of fiddling around with jewelry because of my injury, but I have whipped up some awesome things in the last 2 1/2 weeks. Now I just have to photograph them, take photos and post!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

What I accomplished this week; I fixed up a too-big-for me necklace by making it smaller and removed some of the components and whipped up a pretty pair of earrings and a bracelet... I still have a few things to make with the material I took off of it. The shortened necklace is above, along with the earrings I made and the bracelet.<br />
<br />
Below, the earrings in the top row on the left, and the earrings first on the bottom row used to be 1 earring.... they were very heavy and too big so I cut them apart, filed the jagged edges with an old metal nail file and added chains to them. I am not finished with the pair on the bottom, I still need to add more swooping chain and some jump rings to tie them together ( make sense? no I will have a better description when I finish this pair of earrings )<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mlab53OJepw/TVhTXPlhrkI/AAAAAAAAAPY/kgaVlcNi8dk/s1600/february+6+-+13+2010+deez-jewelz+%25286%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mlab53OJepw/TVhTXPlhrkI/AAAAAAAAAPY/kgaVlcNi8dk/s400/february+6+-+13+2010+deez-jewelz+%25286%2529.JPG" width="300" /></a></div><br />
This is the original necklace, I took off those silver round things, and the two chain fringes on the side so it only has 1 fringe in the very center.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-h8KOHCBu9TI/TVhSzo8PHxI/AAAAAAAAAPE/5g3K5_UPdPs/s1600/february+6+-+13+2010+deez-jewelz+%25281%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="250" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-h8KOHCBu9TI/TVhSzo8PHxI/AAAAAAAAAPE/5g3K5_UPdPs/s640/february+6+-+13+2010+deez-jewelz+%25281%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />

I am still enjoying making these simple and easy earrings out of that black nylon string stuff that I found at the dollar store in my town. I used fold-able crimp beads from Micheal's, those things are fabulous. Since they are gold, and I am trying to use up the package I have before I buy anymore, I painted them black ( Wet n Wild Black Creme)<br />
<br />
I strung on some silver and black beads, sooooooooo easy! I haven't added the ear-wire yet, its actually easier to take a photo without it,<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cgstYf5qyAE/TVhhHon7n3I/AAAAAAAAAPs/bQ26W18bFEM/s1600/february+6+-+13+2010+deez-jewelz+%25285%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cgstYf5qyAE/TVhhHon7n3I/AAAAAAAAAPs/bQ26W18bFEM/s640/february+6+-+13+2010+deez-jewelz+%25285%2529.JPG" width="452" /></a></div><br />
and another pair.... the silver beads that look like grenades were found at my favirote dollar store in town. I used some random black circular beads and the beads I re-purposed from a beaded hair accessory that I didn't use anymore.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--FLenvXdHvI/TVhTHijCXEI/AAAAAAAAAPQ/A49GM3Nc9L0/s1600/february+6+-+13+2010+deez-jewelz+%25284%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="313" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--FLenvXdHvI/TVhTHijCXEI/AAAAAAAAAPQ/A49GM3Nc9L0/s400/february+6+-+13+2010+deez-jewelz+%25284%2529.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
These were components from a necklace I found at dollarrama last weekend. I dismantled it and so far have put these together.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RLdzXu_Rs2k/TVhTcI5p7SI/AAAAAAAAAPc/UZM7aGg2Eho/s1600/february+6+-+13+2010+deez-jewelz+%25287%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="286" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RLdzXu_Rs2k/TVhTcI5p7SI/AAAAAAAAAPc/UZM7aGg2Eho/s400/february+6+-+13+2010+deez-jewelz+%25287%2529.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
I did not take a proper photo of this necklace..... but it is very pretty, just a little too heavy for me.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7fGRfXOHdsU/TU77YZItFzI/AAAAAAAAANw/hqZhPChypxs/s1600/DEEZ-JEWELZ+---JAN-FEB+2011+%25285%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="170" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7fGRfXOHdsU/TU77YZItFzI/AAAAAAAAANw/hqZhPChypxs/s320/DEEZ-JEWELZ+---JAN-FEB+2011+%25285%2529.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
This stuff is so awesome, there was two packages of these at my favirote dollar store...... just sitting there for months. I do recall picking them up and wondering they were for and what I could do with them, I am so glad I bought them because using this material has been fun and the earrings I have made are versatile, and definitely the easiest. I would love to find this in different colours one day!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-afC6oVQqq-c/TVhTrxvqENI/AAAAAAAAAPo/KhSdKjFSjBc/s1600/qqq+001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-afC6oVQqq-c/TVhTrxvqENI/AAAAAAAAAPo/KhSdKjFSjBc/s400/qqq+001.JPG" width="283" /></a></div><br />
Here is a sampling of some of the earrings I have made using this black nylon string. It is possible to make lightweight but bulky earrings. I have used regular crimp beads, as well as those fabulous folding crimp beads from Micheal's. Next time I visit Micheal's I will hunt around EVERY section to see if this material is available, it may not even be for beads or jewelery.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Iaeh2xKYwnw/TVhST6ZH7SI/AAAAAAAAAO0/8GHky6XSaoc/s1600/a+few+things+i+have+made+with+that+black+nylon+string+stuff.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="510" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Iaeh2xKYwnw/TVhST6ZH7SI/AAAAAAAAAO0/8GHky6XSaoc/s640/a+few+things+i+have+made+with+that+black+nylon+string+stuff.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<br />
Here is a package of crimp beads I purchased at Micheal's this weekend, 800 crimp beads for $3.99 !!!!!!! Dang that's awesome! I think that the package at Walmart is $2.50 for 100 beads so even at full price this would still be a great deal. STRANGELY I NEVER SAW THIS IN MICHEAL'S during my regular shopping. I must allot time to browse through that store every month, because this is a great deal!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-EAXqDTPd_DI/TVhSswPnI7I/AAAAAAAAAPA/Br30j_GHVvc/s1600/dollarrama+and+micheals+crafts+goodies+%25283%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-EAXqDTPd_DI/TVhSswPnI7I/AAAAAAAAAPA/Br30j_GHVvc/s320/dollarrama+and+micheals+crafts+goodies+%25283%2529.JPG" width="237" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Ma-Odd6cqPI/TVhSlPVGrSI/AAAAAAAAAO8/V9zweyH1cEY/s1600/dollarrama+and+micheals+crafts+goodies+%25282%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Ma-Odd6cqPI/TVhSlPVGrSI/AAAAAAAAAO8/V9zweyH1cEY/s320/dollarrama+and+micheals+crafts+goodies+%25282%2529.JPG" width="261" /></a></div><br />
..... and a silver metallic pen from DollarRama, which is awesome, and some necklace bases also from DollarRama. OKAY>>>>> I put on one of those necklaces and I couldn't get it off!!!!! I had to CUT it off, for some reason I kept trying to unscrew the silver component, but it is the actual BLACK piece of wire that you hold onto to unscrew! I panicked and just snipped it off.<br />
<br />

<div style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: magenta; font-size: large;">In conclusion ~ I did not create as much as I wanted to, I started alot of things and did not finish, but I am happy with what I have accomplished this week. below - what i have accomplished in the last week or so, I love the sequin jewelery I have come up with, I must say though, that working with smaller sequins was a major pain. The larger ones are way easier to work with. my poor fingers were cramped up for a few days after these.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TU764E4IdHI/AAAAAAAAANg/tj1J0F8zYgg/s1600/DEEZ-JEWELZ+---JAN-FEB+2011+%25281%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="566" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TU764E4IdHI/AAAAAAAAANg/tj1J0F8zYgg/s640/DEEZ-JEWELZ+---JAN-FEB+2011+%25281%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">My Dollar-Rama treasures - SEQUINS - </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TU77ha5aAXI/AAAAAAAAAN0/kkw_BDHPvM0/s1600/DEEZ-JEWELZ+---JAN-FEB+2011+%25286%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="504" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TU77ha5aAXI/AAAAAAAAAN0/kkw_BDHPvM0/s640/DEEZ-JEWELZ+---JAN-FEB+2011+%25286%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<br />
below - these smaller earrings were fun to make, but it gets hard to work with these tiny sequins after an hour or two.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TU78jyR3eKI/AAAAAAAAAOY/9GMCkDuaqGw/s1600/sequin+jewelery+-+deez-jewelz+-+%25284%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="304" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TU78jyR3eKI/AAAAAAAAAOY/9GMCkDuaqGw/s640/sequin+jewelery+-+deez-jewelz+-+%25284%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
I used tin snipers to dissect these filigree earrings I found at the dollar-Rama,I had been searching for tiny filigree pieces for a loooooong time and just couldn't find what I was looking for = so I had to improvise. I actually had these Dollar-Rama earrings for 1 month before I thought of dissecting them,.<br />
<br />
<br />
here is a quick video on how I made these<br />
<br />
<iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="510" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/AYXjnP0XaCA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe><br />
<br />
<br />
ummm here is the link to the video <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYXjnP0XaCA">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYXjnP0XaCA</a><br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TU78dQO4a-I/AAAAAAAAAOU/QoMtqV-smW8/s1600/sequin+jewelery+-+deez-jewelz+-+%25283%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="324" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TU78dQO4a-I/AAAAAAAAAOU/QoMtqV-smW8/s640/sequin+jewelery+-+deez-jewelz+-+%25283%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
I gently snipped these with a pair of tin nippers, and I used an old metal nail file to file the edges. If you are into doing something like this BE CAREFUL!!!!! Thankfully I did not cut myself, but the edges were sharp at times.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TU78W3gno-I/AAAAAAAAAOQ/iBNdZxVbDRw/s1600/sequin+jewelery+-+deez-jewelz+-+%25282%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="308" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TU78W3gno-I/AAAAAAAAAOQ/iBNdZxVbDRw/s640/sequin+jewelery+-+deez-jewelz+-+%25282%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TSiZNrixOiI/AAAAAAAAAK8/4-wevX8sWNg/s1600/ardene+5+for+10+dec+16+2010+%25283%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TSiZNrixOiI/AAAAAAAAAK8/4-wevX8sWNg/s640/ardene+5+for+10+dec+16+2010+%25283%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<br />
I had to whip up jump rings that would fit through the sequin hole, and still have room for the sequin to move around. Making jump rings is easy, please take time to fil the edge of your wire with a metal nail file, just in case you poke yourself. You can purchase jump rings already made but you would need alot for a project like this. <br />

These beads are very pretty and the finish on them catches and reflects the light beautifully. I am getting much better at working with these crimp beads and black nylon string. The package of 60 at Micheal's goes a long way, I think it is reg $4.99 (or with 40% - $3.00) off they are awesome to have. It is the easiest type of jewelry to make in my opinion, even if I struggle with getting the nylon cord intot he clasp properly hahahha!!!<br />
<br />

Below - These are so awesome! I made them in hot pink as well. You can find silver sequins of this size at Micheal's crafts, I found these in a baggie of different coloured sequins at the Dollar-Rama. it took me 20 minutes to pick out all the silver ones - grrrrrrr.<br />

below - the purple and black nylon string earrings I made with a set of beads I got at the Dollar-Rama, it looks like a small quantity of beads but I am certain to whip up alot of pieces with that amount. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TU7854Bc4oI/AAAAAAAAAOg/iy8dazy0MlM/s1600/sequin+jewelery+-+deez-jewelz+-+%25286%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="410" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TU7854Bc4oI/AAAAAAAAAOg/iy8dazy0MlM/s640/sequin+jewelery+-+deez-jewelz+-+%25286%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
below - black earrings made for hair accessory I no longer wore and the long light blue earrings were made with the smaller Dollar-Rama sequins that came in a set of 4<br />

Above & below, 2 hair things I was not wearing anymore and had had for a long time. on the left was one of those beaded bun cover things, and on the right was a very 'stabby' scrunchy. This thing drove me crazy when I wore it in my hair, plus it ripped a tonne of my hair out. I would love to find sequins in this shape but in different colours, hot pink and silver for sure. i already made a pair of earrings with these { picture on board above }<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TU7789zo_TI/AAAAAAAAAOE/_oEecbcT_PI/s1600/DEEZ-JEWELZ+---JAN-FEB+2011+%252810%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="251" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TU7789zo_TI/AAAAAAAAAOE/_oEecbcT_PI/s320/DEEZ-JEWELZ+---JAN-FEB+2011+%252810%2529.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
I washed these well, they were sitting in my drawer for a long time. I like how the silver beads on the bun-thing below are loosing their shine and look antique. and of course I had to show off my mani<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TU772LWHSuI/AAAAAAAAAOA/ee0KSTv5y-Y/s1600/DEEZ-JEWELZ+---JAN-FEB+2011+%25289%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="314" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TU772LWHSuI/AAAAAAAAAOA/ee0KSTv5y-Y/s320/DEEZ-JEWELZ+---JAN-FEB+2011+%25289%2529.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
.... and a few other items I found at the Dollar-Rama in the last few weeks,<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TU77nasWBRI/AAAAAAAAAN4/bUXmkpy89dI/s1600/DEEZ-JEWELZ+---JAN-FEB+2011+%25287%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="250" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TU77nasWBRI/AAAAAAAAAN4/bUXmkpy89dI/s400/DEEZ-JEWELZ+---JAN-FEB+2011+%25287%2529.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<br />
These beads above came in baby blue, pink, clear, and purple ( above) I whipped up a quick pair of earrings with that black nylon string.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TU77RFIt14I/AAAAAAAAANs/eFZz_vgfLuI/s1600/DEEZ-JEWELZ+---JAN-FEB+2011+%25284%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="268" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TU77RFIt14I/AAAAAAAAANs/eFZz_vgfLuI/s400/DEEZ-JEWELZ+---JAN-FEB+2011+%25284%2529.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
Above and below; these earrings are something I have been looking for for a long time, I always hoped I could purchase these <u><b>lightweight and thin flat</b></u> rings somewhere for some designs I had in mind = these will be perfect for some re-fashioning. They might be a bit too heavy for me as is, so I'll have to do a little tweaking<br />
<br />
The necklace below- I swear to gosh I just saw earring at Claire's with the exact same design as the larger piece. It will be alot of fun to re-fashion this necklace, its very long and needs to be alittle shorter for my liking.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TU77YZItFzI/AAAAAAAAANw/2e8e4CGtixE/s1600/DEEZ-JEWELZ+---JAN-FEB+2011+%25285%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="212" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TU77YZItFzI/AAAAAAAAANw/2e8e4CGtixE/s400/DEEZ-JEWELZ+---JAN-FEB+2011+%25285%2529.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
Just a few things i picked up at the thrift store and at Fabric-land. I found some sequins that are shaped like stars for .25 cents as well as a small amount of clear glass beads for .25 cents as well ( it was 1/2 price day at the thrift store) I also picked up these Christmas ornament hangers. can you believe they charge 6 bucks for these regular? <b style="color: magenta;">shameful.</b> Not sure how to work these into some fun jewelery, but for 50 cents, why not! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TU77IWKeOKI/AAAAAAAAANo/Hco_pFjyUJs/s1600/DEEZ-JEWELZ+---JAN-FEB+2011+%25283%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="398" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TU77IWKeOKI/AAAAAAAAANo/Hco_pFjyUJs/s640/DEEZ-JEWELZ+---JAN-FEB+2011+%25283%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">I have a tonne of stuff to post, alot more project details to share, stuff I am working on and such = however; this will have to be a brief overview I am so busy with other things that I have to force myself on this blog to add stuff. I have to mention that this time of year is the best time to hit up mall jewelery stores for their year-end clear outs.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

Iwas supposed to post this yesterday<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TTnRD6q552I/AAAAAAAAAMY/mQ0rB89ZMQk/s1600/deez-jewelz+%25283%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="546" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TTnRD6q552I/AAAAAAAAAMY/mQ0rB89ZMQk/s640/deez-jewelz+%25283%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
I made these earrings with brown/copper coloured nylon wire, those folding crimp beads with the hole in them, some gold jump rings and gold ear-wires.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TTnQ39228FI/AAAAAAAAAMQ/c0IxrWzmJw8/s1600/deez-jewelz+%25281%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="352" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TTnQ39228FI/AAAAAAAAAMQ/c0IxrWzmJw8/s640/deez-jewelz+%25281%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TTnRMmyu9jI/AAAAAAAAAMc/3Z_Sd3hPQ5c/s1600/deez-jewelz+%25284%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="384" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TTnRMmyu9jI/AAAAAAAAAMc/3Z_Sd3hPQ5c/s640/deez-jewelz+%25284%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
most of these beads were from some excess beaded trim that I had laying around that was too small to do anything with, I found it at fabric land on clearance for 2 bucks a meter.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TTnRXwASzOI/AAAAAAAAAMg/oq1jvW9NaLM/s1600/deez-jewelz+%25285%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TTnRXwASzOI/AAAAAAAAAMg/oq1jvW9NaLM/s640/deez-jewelz+%25285%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">The necklace that I 'borrowed' the copper/brown nylon wire from.I snipped two strands off and made a pair of matching earrings.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TTnQ-2E4lRI/AAAAAAAAAMU/-AwunlyDDyQ/s1600/deez-jewelz+%25282%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="321" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TTnQ-2E4lRI/AAAAAAAAAMU/-AwunlyDDyQ/s400/deez-jewelz+%25282%2529.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<br />
.... these things are a light gold finish, I paint them with Black nail polish for most of my earrings that were not gold.... I'll have to swing by Micheal's and try to find some silver ones.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TTnRidECjQI/AAAAAAAAAMk/oPBIyf9DQ14/s1600/deez-jewelz+%25286%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TTnRidECjQI/AAAAAAAAAMk/oPBIyf9DQ14/s400/deez-jewelz+%25286%2529.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
Its hard to explain, but basically the two sides of this metal crimp bead fold over each other with the nylon wire encased inside - I love these things and am glad I snagged them at Micheal's craft store for 50 cents in summertime -otherwise I never would have purchased these as I had no idea what they were used for.<br />

</div><div style="text-align: left;">I have to say, that holding the already strung beads and trying to crimp the finishing end together is a huge pain in the bum! The earrings above were okay, but adding 4 or more strands, with beads gets tricky. I have only made 10 or so pairs of earrings with this method and it DOES get easier every time. I love love LOVE these nylon string earrings and am so ready to whip up many more!!!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"> what I have made lately......</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TTmeJblJ4OI/AAAAAAAAAME/Zvm1vK_IM84/s1600/deez-jewelz+%25284%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="208" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TTmeJblJ4OI/AAAAAAAAAME/Zvm1vK_IM84/s640/deez-jewelz+%25284%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
Below; I made these using nylon wire and bugle beads. I love the crimp beads with the hole in them - I did not think they would hold well and be structurally stable but so far they are fabulous!!!! I just cut graduated lengths of the nylon wire, connected 1 end with the crimp bead with the hole and then stung the beads. I made sure both earrings were even before I closed the other end with the crimp bead.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TTmd_KMHeoI/AAAAAAAAAL8/ry2i0TuyKL4/s1600/deez-jewelz+%25282%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="334" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TTmd_KMHeoI/AAAAAAAAAL8/ry2i0TuyKL4/s640/deez-jewelz+%25282%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
I 'stole' a strand of the brown wire from an older necklace of mine, If I dint peruse that dollar store often I would not have recognized what this black nylon string was = I LOVE THIS STUFF! It is a tad trickier than wire - but most of my flexi-wire gets kinks in it, where this doesn't seem to show kinks and 'de-formations' like the flexi-wire does.<br />

<br />
These shiny shimmery bugle beads were a $1.00 each at a dollar store - how awesome is that?<br />
<br />
They actually had quite alot of beads and sequins at that shop, Its the same place I found those black holographic and black flat matte sequins.<br />

<br />
... jets a few things I have made recently, with this awesome black plastic 'nylon string' stuff i found at my favorite dollar store in my town, 'Looney Twoons' dollar store - I love that store, most of the embellished silver and gold beads that I used in these earrings also came from that store!!!! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TTTVkM_RrmI/AAAAAAAAALo/2DenbOOO7l8/s1600/qqq+001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TTTVkM_RrmI/AAAAAAAAALo/2DenbOOO7l8/s400/qqq+001.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"> { whoops I should have cropped this better }</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">so here are a few earrings I made, super easy to put together but I still find it difficult to add the crimp bead and squish it without the beads falling off pof the black nylon stuff lol! This nylon string is essentially the same as flexible beading wire, just black..... and nylon plastic - which is awesome.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />

above 5 jewelery pliers set from Micheal's.... it is $16.99 Canadian, or $9.95 USD. The individual pliers below were found at a local dollar store for $2.00 each and the rubber grip on the handles is much MUCH better than those from Micheal's.<br />
<br />
<br />
<b style="color: magenta;">ALSO; ALL THE JEWELERY I MAKE IS FOR ME, I DON'T SELL IT OR PASS IT ALONG TO ANYONE.... THIS IS WHAT I DO IN MY SPARE TIME - </b>I am not saving any money by purchasing raw materials and finding all these beads and things, because it really does add up - this is one of my hobbies and i really, really enjoy doing this. This is a fun somewhat easy hobby, I love the things I make and I enjoy creating new unique pieces of jewelery.<br />
<br />
<div style="color: magenta; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><b>=I'm trying to whip up a few pieces each week = </b></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b><span style="color: magenta; font-size: large;">keeping me on track is me trying to do a weekly post.</span></b></div><br />
My best advice is to hit up dollar stores and thrift-stores, as well as yard sales for beads and such. I have been tremendously lucky at the dollar stores in my town - finding beautiful beads and wire and such.<br />
Mall costume jewelery stores have also been a great source of supplies, I have yet to find a source to purchase chain which is more economical than purchasing rolls or length of chain ( In Canada ).<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">below - jewelery pliers I found at the 'buck or two' dollar store in my town </div><div style="text-align: center;">round nose pliers' ===SCORE ===</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TSiaMX7e5UI/AAAAAAAAAI0/EYWTmMnG_MM/s1600/sdf+004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TSiaMX7e5UI/AAAAAAAAAI0/EYWTmMnG_MM/s640/sdf+004.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />

<div style="text-align: center;">from a dollar store in my town( this is a good deal )</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TSigYte8mII/AAAAAAAAAJg/wOyC6OV_aKk/s1600/earring+things+from+dollar+store.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TSigYte8mII/AAAAAAAAAJg/wOyC6OV_aKk/s400/earring+things+from+dollar+store.JPG" width="332" /></a></div><br />
Below; from Joanne's crafts store in the USA- all these things cost $6-ish USD total, here in Canada all these items would cost over $20.00 and I cannot find black ear-wires here. However if you use coupons and take advantage of sales you can do pretty well at Micheal's crafts store = but they are seriously lacking in black accessories and finding for jewelery.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TNQDyKCneZI/AAAAAAAAABY/oBSFzlrCIvY/s1600/joannes+jewelery+black+wire+n%2527+stuff+--dee-znailz--.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="430" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TNQDyKCneZI/AAAAAAAAABY/oBSFzlrCIvY/s640/joannes+jewelery+black+wire+n%2527+stuff+--dee-znailz--.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<br />
EDIT; here is a terrible photo of some wire I have used in making some f my jewelery pieces - it did not get dingy or gross, and it was cheap!!!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TSoJoJ26ZmI/AAAAAAAAALA/EaFYX93Rz24/s1600/jljkl+001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="201" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TSoJoJ26ZmI/AAAAAAAAALA/EaFYX93Rz24/s400/jljkl+001.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>I had to crop that photo and do a bunch of other photo-shopping to it. - from now on I am going to snap photos of everything i pick-up - because already just for this post I am missing like 8 photos of pertinent items♥<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">These are from Walmart Canada, they are $2.50 each package = a good deal</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TSiiKkXvjdI/AAAAAAAAAJs/Kub3SkRLRZI/s1600/june+29+2910+%25282%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TSiiKkXvjdI/AAAAAAAAAJs/Kub3SkRLRZI/s640/june+29+2910+%25282%2529.JPG" width="480" /></a></div><br />
<br />
I found a good amount of multi-sized beads at one of the dollar stores in my town, for $1.50! There is some beautiful shades of blue in here, the store also carried an assortment of teals, reds, black, browns, and a few other colors in a zip lock bag for $1.50 as well...... so with some wire and findings, I could make a tonne of pieces with these lovely beads.<br />
<br />
sorry I don't have a photo of the baggie they came in, I may pick up the teal beads so I will have to snap a photo of those.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TNVOE5t8_-I/AAAAAAAAAC8/RE42YHtCNnk/s1600/---+deez+jewelz+---+%252814%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="316" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TNVOE5t8_-I/AAAAAAAAAC8/RE42YHtCNnk/s400/---+deez+jewelz+---+%252814%2529.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
here are 2 pairs of earrings I found at the Dollar-Rama, for 2 bucks. I bought these for their components and have already made 2 pretty pairs of earrings. I have found it is usually smarter to pick up these jewelry pieces and use the components than it is to purchase items individually. It was hard to find small filigree pieces such as these cute flowers.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TSiZNrixOiI/AAAAAAAAAIY/vgL0reEpJbk/s1600/ardene+5+for+10+dec+16+2010+%25283%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TSiZNrixOiI/AAAAAAAAAIY/vgL0reEpJbk/s640/ardene+5+for+10+dec+16+2010+%25283%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
a few 5 for 10 necklaces i picked up at Ardene, a Canadian accessory store. Why on earth chain is so expensive, being sold my the meter, verses picking up a necklace with a lot of <u><i>chain is puzzling</i></u>. I could not find the dull darker steel coloured chain; like that on the necklace with the crosses = = = forever! Where do you even buy stuff like that? I have found jump rings, and other findings and accessories for jewelery in this finish but I have never been able to find the chain with that finish and colour.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TSiZNLvOVyI/AAAAAAAAAIU/I4MzIZD3IHE/s1600/ardene+5+for+10+dec+16+2010+%25282%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="387" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TSiZNLvOVyI/AAAAAAAAAIU/I4MzIZD3IHE/s640/ardene+5+for+10+dec+16+2010+%25282%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
here is another photo with some things i picked up at the Claire's store during a 10 for 10 sale last summer.... I have made many earrings by utilizing components from those gold necklaces. I kept 1 wear and used the other 2 to whip up some bracelets, and earrings.<br />
<br />
I also used 2 pairs of the earrings, taking them apart and removing some of the crystals or adding more crystals and beads. I cannot find these types of chandelier earrings components for less than what I can at a discount sale.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TSiiLPJUr2I/AAAAAAAAAJw/afaEk_d1t_Y/s1600/june+29+2910+%25283%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9fgXCqMXk18/TSiiLPJUr2I/AAAAAAAAAJw/afaEk_d1t_Y/s640/june+29+2910+%25283%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
Finally here is A TONNE of things i picked up at Micheal's Craft store in summer - Normally I stop into that store and never really buy anything, ITS FUN TO WALK AROUND IN THERE - TAKE INVENTORY FOR POSSIBLE FUTURE PROJECTS!!! And when they have sales... my goodness, there is alot of goodies to be found.<br />
<br />
Every package of these jewelery findings, beads and such was .50 cents! YEEEEEEEAAAAAHHHH! They were marked down to a dollar, then there was a manager's special and they were further reduced to .50 cents!!!. I did not buy everything they had to offer, though, as I did not know what some of the accessories and findings were - they had a lot of neat things, and i did go a little crazy in purchasing things!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">♥ So far I have used a lot of the items below to make some very pretty jewelery for myself ♥ </div><br />
while I am thankful I found all these goodies - it kinda irks me that they price things as they do - then clear them out a few months later for an extreme discount - I remember looking at those butterfly's and dragons months ago and they were very expensive. <br />
<br />

Its actually called flexi-wire or soft flex. the BLACK stuff is plastic thread that I purchased at my favorite store.... the .99 cent store ( which is now called Looney Twoons but i still call it the .99 cent store ). It is thin but strong strands of plastic. so far it is working out fabulously. I do have a photo of this product in it's packaging somewhere - I will add it to this blog as soon as I can find it I just whipped these p yesterday, I have only made a few pairs of earrings with this wire, but so far so good and I can see many more pieces of jewelery made with this wire in my future.<br />
<br />
The blue ones above I started at 9:00 and before I knew it it was 1:30! so these actually took waaaaay too long, but they were enjoyable to make.I added beads tot he flexi-wire then added crimp beads on each end. Trying to crimp 2 or 3 strands of wire and beads together is going to take some practice... if it gets all twisted it will not sit properly and look fudged up when I am wearing it. So that's gonna take some trial and error before I get it perfect<br />
<br />
what I whipped up in the last 2 days... The pair second from the left is a Work in Progress.... I still wanna add some chain dangling form the center and linked up with the jump rings that are between the silver bezel cut plastic beads.<br />

On the first pair on the left below, I forgot to add the BEAD TIPS, so I had to improvise by using a jump ring to attach the twosides together as well as attach the ear-wire to the earring ( make sense? lol )<br />

I like how these earrings below are HUGE but I am not happy that they are NOT symmetrical. so I will have to fiddle around with this design beofre I proceed with any more pieces.You can sort-of see that the black wire is twisted and it is not the same on each side of the earring, nor is each earring the same.<br />

The filigree flower came from the Dollar-Rama, I took apart a pair of two dollar earrings I purchased to use the flowers as a base for some smaller earrings. I added black sequins to jump rings, forming a chain of sequins and added them to the filigree flower. i think these are very pretty. They are light and compact.<br />
<br />
My camera and the light source washed this photo our for some reason.... When I use up the rest of the components from the Dollar-Rama earrings I will have to do a post with better photos♥<br />
